Women in Indian Film

Women in Indian Film is a set of ten short books that shed new light on the lives and work of ten women who have helped fuel new energy and ideas into Indian movie-making. The stories of Zeenat Aman, Jaya Bachchan, Aarti Bajaj, Saira Banu, Madhuri Dixit, Farah Khan, Mumtaz, Nutan, Smita Patil and Aparna Sen reflect the changing face of Indian cinema from the 1950s to now. The writers include: Kaveree Bamzai, Pajashrei Dasgupta, Charu Gargi, Udita Jhunjhunwala, Namrata Joshi, Nasreen Munni Kabir and Nandini Ramnath.
